Arches National Park and Home to Boise

I had great anticipation for seeing Arches. So glad we were able to see so much from the pull outs. This would be a great place to be able to get out and hike. This park was steep and tight with very high formations. There were times I hoped that nothing was going to fall on us. I heaved a sigh of relief when we pulled out of the park and were headed for Grand Junction, CO.
So spectacular red dirt here and the photos will show what we saw.

The major formations visible in the park today are the salmon-colored Entrada Sandstone, in which most of the arches form, and the buff-colored Navajo Sandstone.

A great way to end our trip to the National Parks of Utah.  I don't think I could pick a favorite.  I feel so blessed that we were able to see all these places I've wanted to see for such a long time and they did not let us down.  I will never forget this trip.

Quick trip to Colorado to spend the night and then up to Utah heading home.  No trip through Salt Lake City would be complete without a stop at my favorite bakery in the world for lunch and then home.

 Home Sweet Home

There is no place like Idaho.

Seven weeks to get from Clearwater, FL to Boise, Idaho.  We had the best trip and I don't think we missed a thing on our Southern Route.  So many good memories  Good to be home though.  Now the work begins, play time is over.
