New Start 2021 - January

Hoping for a bright new year.....we need it.  I determined to carry on, safely, but carry on.

Lovely trip to Key West with my friend Donna.  We took Key West Express for a few days of exploration, photos and food.  We had a great time and I adored the croissants, just like France.  We rode the trolley, took a sunset cruise and all that for a "no sunset" type of sun going down.  Key West is known for sunsets, that was a bummer.  But the smoked fish dip I had for two meals made up for that.

And away we go.

Nice boat ride

So great Key West homes to enjoy

I love an old movie theater.

Funny sign.............

Buoy Christmas tree

Mural by Wyland

Too cute

Gear shift knob, this is different!!

Love these little things to buzz around in.

Weird that Guy Harvey has a signed
license plate.

Lobster trap Christmas tree.  Different.

All kinds of kooky art around

Sponge monster

Beautiful pelicans.

We were on Mallory Dock waiting for
the beautiful sunset that never came.

Gotta have a flamingo.

Old Town Bakery - these taste like France, I
could not have just one.

You know me - I can't resist being corny

Donna is fun to travel with.  Thanks for asking
me to come with you.

This made me laugh, I called it "The Coconut Express"

We toured and tasted here and bought rum,
sipping rum, not to be used with rum and coke.

Always special when I see a rainbow.

The ferry going back to Ft. Myers night
before we returned.

Beautiful home

Three buildings down from our hotel.  My favorite
place in town.  Delicious treats.  Coffee, not so much.

Our daily breakfast from bakery.

We did take the trolley around town and
glad we did.  Hard to walk the entire island.

West Martello Tower - Garden

Lots of fun signs all over town

Last day lunch - French!!!

I had croque monsieur and Donna
had croque madam (see eggs), delicious french
style grilled cheese, plus

Our hotel.  $300 a night for a pretty darn basic room.
But had great location.  I'm pretty sure I've seen
enough of Key West and will move on to other places.

Now, a few days later and heading to Warner Robins for pet sitting, 2 cats and a turtle.  Cool.  Ended up in a totally amazing three story house that I got lost in.  Quite an experience and the homeowner was a very nice lady.  Had a good time and my mail goal was to drive to Starr's Mill to take pictures.  Ended up doing lots of fun and unexpected things.
