End of Packing and Bon Voyage Party

Just home from our Bon Voyage party -- stunning.  Cathy thank you for the great party.  Fun to see friends, some old, some new -- but all of them in our hearts.  It was nice to sit down, visit, eat, drink and relax in our Hawaiian paradise tonight.

The day/week held moving and more moving, sorting, trashing, etc.

Sorting items from our shop

How can we have so much stuff?

We took our name, but left the
address for new owners

The day was filled with moving, sweeping, packing from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.  Tomorrow will be more moving stuff around.  Our goal now is to sit down and look at all the paperwork on our two table areas and figure out what needs to be accessible to us, what can just be boxed up and what shredded or trashed.  Tomorrow we have to move a table from one location to another, move a bench from one location to another, and move wood, and these are all things that aren't so much our move related.  I feel like we're circling..........but we will get all that down, finish up a few boxes and be done except for the bigger things which are very limited.  I'm hoping my friend's husband and her son can help us with those.  Then a bit of dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping and we will have reached the end.

Almost, almost, I'm pooped out totally

Last load to storage, yeah.

John - good bye yard work, sprinklers!!!!!

Bitter sweet, lots of memories here,
but on to new adventures.

There will be nothing else like the feeling we will get when we finally sign the closing documents and walk out of the title company office.

I fear returning to the storage space because I have probably 50 boxes of pictures, old cards, Robert's childhood school papers, art work and other old memory stuff that I will have to go through and deal with.  But I think for now I will put that into the future and go to bed.  Just a few more days of stress and we can hit the road for our adventure.  In a way it is funny because with all of this house sale, packing, etc., I have not even reflected on my "retirement" and maybe I will never have time to even think about it -- now that would be great.
