8/2024 London - Victoria & Albert Museum. A Day to Remember

I'm loving it out here in the country, East Grimstead, South of London.  Taking a train somewhere every other day has been an adventure.  Got off tube and came across Museum of Natural History, a lovely garden and a dinosaur.  That was a surprise.

A true highlight was Friday, 8/16/24, going into London and meeting a new friend at the Victoria & Albert Museum.  I can't  express how over the top this place is.  From the tea room where we started to our end at the special exhibition of.  I was in another world.  I want to go back again and again and see every square inch.  That could take over 10 days I'd  guess.

My new friend Louise and I hit it off immediately and "do" museums the same way.  Started with tea and getting to know each other, then with a cream tea break later.  Just a great day.

We focused on a special exhibit of photographs, Fragile Beauty, collection of Sir Elton John and David Furnish.  I might have called it anything except Fragile Beauty.  So much more, lots very adult and explicit.  Many controversial topics in the day.

Louise is a member so we got in free to this special exhibit and NAOMI in Fashion. Naomi Campbell, started modeling at 8.  The exhibit was so well done.  Tons of the clothes she modeled, fun.

The third area we visited was Jewellery (British spelling).  Each collection was shown in a perfect way.  The chronological order and organization made thinThirdgs understandable.  It was all delicious.  These were difficult to take great photos of, so much bling, lights.

Wish we could have stayed longer, but I'll  say my back and feet were ready to go.  Great day.

8/17/23 Onward...all posts done

 I have just published 12 blogs that were drafts for years, had never been finished.  Thete are errors, not proofread and some with no photos.......oh well.    I think I learned that's  it would be really hard and time consuming to go back and recreate.  So Onward.

Will try new concept, less is more.  Sort of a diary, review of the month.  See how that goes.  I do write in too much detail since I love to remember everything.  So here's to trying.

I'll do a brief month to month to catch up.

Tucson, Arizona 2/26/ - 8/6/2019

I had 10 fun filled days with my friends Cheryl and Mike Heath.  Their home is beautiful with a newly remodeled section including kitchen  -- a dream kitchen and we made good use of all that space with peaches and making water melon salsa.

They treated me to a Chicago concert that was excellent.  Such a fun night that started with a cool downtown brewery for dinner which was very good and excellent beer.  We then drove over to the concert and Chicago put on such a super show.  Took us right back to the old days.

I love these guys.  They are so fun and such great,

faithful and loving friends.  We have such good times

and sweet memories.
